Nison-in

It is a wallpaper photograph of the autumnal leaves of Kyoto Nison-in.

Nison-in is a temple of the Tendai-sect-of-Buddhism Enryakuji Temple group belonging to Mt. Hiei Enryakuji Temple in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto-shi Sagano. By Emperor Saga's wish, Jikaku Daishi of the Tendai sect of Buddhism became the founder, and was built in 834. Although generally called Nison-in, an official name is called "Ogura-yama Nisonkyoin-Rendaiji." although the building has been mostly burned down in response to the war fire of the Onin War (1467-1477) which made Kyoto the stage -- after that Hondo and an Imperial messenger -- a gate (Chinese gate) etc. -- only the building is rebuilt in part in 1521. It originates in the origin of the name of Nison-in having the two principal image, Shaka Nyorai and Amitabha Tathagata, in the principal image. It is said that Shaka Nyorai is called "Gautama Buddha of Hakken" who sends out when people are born, and Amitabha Tathagata is called "Amitabha of Raigei" greeted from paradise on the contrary when passing away. That is, Shaka Nyorai and Amitabha Tathagata which are the principal image of Nison-in have two sides of the same coin and each role. It is a Buddha statue of the Kamakura period, and this Shaka Nyorai and Amitabha Tathagata are said for famous Kaikei to have made, and are an important cultural property. Moreover, it is said that the wealthy merchant and Sumikura Ryoi of the Edo period contributed and reconstructed Yakuimon which the main gate at an entrance had in the Fushimi-Momoyama castle in 1613. Now, a maple walks along the autumnal-leaves spot of a full load on both sides called Baba of autumnal leaves (maple) in the place which paid the admission fee of 500 yen by the main gate of Nison-in. When it carried out this time, it seldom looked to advantage by the touch which already broke up and is contained in autumnal leaves, but if it passes over Baba of autumnal leaves, Shirakabe's Hondo-Tukiji wall will appear. It is said that the Hondo front garden which Hondo of Nison-in is seen if it passes through that and goes into inside, but is located in this side is a yard built by the Syoushin saint based on the tradition of having carried out deliverance death although Ryujyo was lying idle in the place currently called the garden of Ryujin-Yugyo. Seemingly it is said that Hondo was also designed based on Shishin-den in Kyoto Old Palace, and the floor serves as floorboards that sing when walked on. Moreover, the rock garden in the Hondo south is called Jyakkouen, and is supposed that the world of paradise was expressed. If it says so, the Honen saint who revived ruined Nison-in will be the Jodo sect. Although the free parking where about ten cars are parked in front is located in Nison-in in Sagano, it becomes full here immediately. Although he has a feeling which cannot go comparatively easily, Nison-in is the autumnal-leaves spot which is considerably popular also in Sagano. The best time to see of the autumnal leaves of Nison-in thinks that a best-time-to-see peak is the end of the month the middle of November - the end of the month. Although visited simultaneously with Jojakko-ji, how for this one of autumnal leaves to be distracted a little seemed early.
