Nagahama castle

The Nagahama castle is famous also as first castle for Hideyoshi Hashiba (next Hideyoshi Toyotomi) to build, and is known also as a famous place of the leading cherry tree of a Shiga within the prefecture

The history of the Nagahama castle goes back to the Age of Civil Wars. Construction of a castle is Hideyoshi Hashiba, and completion of the Nagahama castle is the autumn of 1576. When Hideyoshi Hashiba who was Nobunaga Oda's vassal those days has still declared himself Kinoshita Tokichiro,Tokichiro which large-played an active part in the Asai Nagamasa attack of Kohoku was accepted by Nobunaga in the distinguished services, and Imahama (present Nagahama) whole [ which was Mr. Asai's territory those days ] made 12 grain screen territory, it built the Nagahama castle, and built the castle town. The first Hideyoshi to become a lord changes the name of a place of Imahama into Nagahama after that, and has continued up to now. Although it is this Nagahama castle, Ieyasu Tokugawa will take a world and will disappear [ that ] only in about 39 years after construction by the command of one-country one castle in 1615 by the Edo Shogunate. And construction materials, such as a building after demolition of the Nagahama castle and a stone wall, are carried by ship in Lake Biwa. It is used as construction materials of Hikone Castle which started in 1603 and was completed in 1622, and the ruins which are said to have moved Tenbin Yagura etc. from the Nagahama castle even now are left behind. Of course, a certain castle tower is not a thing of those days now, contribution of citizens etc. reverted in 1983, and the inside is used as a historical museum. Now, although it is the Nagahama castle with such a history, of course, it has been going to just open here as a ground associated with Hideyoshi Toyotomi. The former site of the Nagahama castle is loved by citizens widely as a Ho park with the museum in a castle tower now. Of course, Ho of Ho park completed in 1909 (Meiji 42) takes Hideyoshi Toyotomi's Ho. Although it is not so large as total about 800 numbers, if the cherry tree of Ho park is chosen as the 100th elections of the cherry tree famous place in Japan and is looked down on from the Nagahama castle castle tower, as it covered with the carpet completely, it is in all glory in the park, and brilliant. Moreover, the brilliant cherry tree is known also for what Hideyoshi Toyotomi liked. On the other hand, the ground in here Nagahama is a ニ large place of production of the gun called a matchlock along with Sakai, Osaka those days, and people called the Age of Civil Wars and a Kunitomo gun blacksmith just large-played an active part. It became a basis on which the gunpowder and the gun blacksmith who were used for the Age-of-Civil-Wars matchlock change an after that form into, and fireworks and a pyrotechnist are born, and became the foundation of the Nagahama fireworks display held on August 5 every year. Although the admission fee to the Nagahama castle historical museum requires 400 yen, the cherry tree of Ho park looked down on from a top is brilliant. It is a recommendation especially at the time of the cherry tree which greets best time to see at the beginning of April - the middle of the month.
