top>Autumn・Kyoto・Japanese>Gio-ji
It is a wallpaper photograph of the autumnal leaves of Gio-ji.
Although it is famous words in which what carries out
behavior selfish as a request declines soon, which are ruined in their status etc. and which come out
in the beginning of a book of Heike monogatari, the tale related to this very Gio-ji also goes it
with a background. The origin of the name of Gio-ji originates in the tale of the dancer's white
costume and Gio who comes out in Heike monogatari. Although it was the dancer's white costume and
Gio who monopolized Taira no Kiyomori's love and was sending the gay life at the time of the Heike
height of prosperity, a dancer's white costume called Hotoke Gozen appeared there.
Although Gio who regarded Hotoke Gozen turned away by Kiyomori as pitiful will announce nothing and
Hotoke Gozen will announce dancing in front of Kiyomori for Kiyomori ... It will be an enmity and,
as for Kiyomori who changed his mind to Hotoke Gozen, Gio will be banished on the contrary shortly.
Although Hotoke Gozen who did not think that he would win the seat instead of Gio declines desperately ...
Kiyomori forces banished Gio the humiliating treatment "announce and comfort dancing in front of
Hotoke Gozen", to Gio again after that. Gio who despaired, the sister, and a mother's Touji of a
younger sister's Gijyo become a nun, and come to the ground in Sagano.
Moreover, it comes here so that Hotoke Gozen who has realized the non-usual state of a world after
that may also follow the Gio back. Then, four persons are the tales of appealing for a Buddhist
invocation as it is here, and living. Probably, it will be certain that the non-usual state of a
world serves as a cause which made faith of the Buddha in fashion so far. Moreover, Kiyomori will
also be understood by this transient wave after that.
There is no brightness with Gio-ji common to other shrines and temples which stands still at the
ground in Kyoto and Sagano quietly. There are only a mossy garden which is not merely so large,
and a thatched hermitage of one building located on Takebayashi and there. The image in wood of Gio,
Gijyo-Touji and Hotoke Gozen, and Taira no Kiyomori is installed in the hermitage focusing on the
Cosmic Buddha. It is said that it is a figure of present Gio-ji that the Kyoto governor contributed
one building for having gone to ruin and having become a nunnery in Meiji 28 although a basis is also
in the precincts of a temple of Oujyouin. In addition, a parking lot is not located in Gio-ji.
An admission fee requires 300 yen. Or [ that I can hear about the image of dancer's white costume
Gio and others who conceals himself and lives quietly at the time of the autumnal leaves of Kyoto Gio-ji ].
